Mrs. Mickinkle
Mrs. Mickinkle was born in Elmira, NY and her hometown is Lindley, NY. She graduated with a Regents Diploma from C-PP West High School in 1992. She went on to Corning Community College where she earned a CDA certification for Early Childhood Education, an Associates Degree in Human Services and an Associates Degree in Educational Interpreting. Apart from her duties at Three Treasures Martial Art Mrs. Mickinkle is a Receptionist for the Arnot Corning Office and is a Free Lance Sign Language Interpreter.
Mrs. Mickinkle has been in a committed relationship with her husband, Steve Mickinkle, for 17 years and she is the proud mother of two children, Tyler and Corinne, both students at the Academy. Mrs. Mickinkle underwent gastric bypass surgery and has sustained her weight loss. She invested 147 hours of her time in helping Habitat for Humanity build their home.
Mrs. Mickinkle began training at Three Treasures Martial Arts in 2006 along with her children. She has stated that “just becoming a student was a big step for me”. It was not long before she knew she wanted to become an Instructor and joined the Instructor Acceleration Program. Mrs. Mickinkle earned her Probationary 1st Degree Black Belt in April 2008 and is on track to confirm her 1st Degree Black Belt in the Fall of 2008. She has competed in several local KWC tournaments and is a member of the Red Dragon Performance Team. For 2006 she was awarded the 3TMA Instructor’s Award and for 2007 the Superior Dedication Award.
