Mr. Gleason
Mr. Gleason was born in Bath, NY and graduated from Haverling Central School in 1983. He played baseball, basketball, football and soccer and umpired Little League and Minor League baseball. Mr. Gleason served in the U.S, Army from July 1983 to April 1987. He earned 2 Army Achievement Medals, one Good Conduct Medal and an Overseas Ribbon. He is the proud father of 2 children, Erin and Greg. Erin is attending Corning Community College and Greg is in the Navy and stationed at Norfolk, VA.
Mr. Gleason worked for Corning, Inc. for several years and attended Corning Community College. He is now a full time Nursing student at Mansfield University. Mr. Gleason also refereed basketball at the High School level for many years. He is accomplished racquetball player. Mr. Gleason began his Martial Arts training at Three Treasures Martial Arts in 2003. By the time he reached Green Belt, he knew he wanted to be an Instructor so he entered into the Instructor Acceleration Program (IAP) in August 2004. Mr. Gleason earned the rank of Black Belt in 2005 and is now nearing the end of the IAP program as he will be testing for Second Degree Black Belt in April 2008. Mr. Gleason is a Certified Taekwondo Referee by USA Taekwondo and has refereed in many local tournaments. He has also refereed in Junior Olympic Qualifiers in Buffalo, NY in 2006 and Miami, Fla. in 2007 and has refereed in the Junior Olympics in Atlanta, GA. in 2006 and San Jose, 2007.
Mr. Gleason has received several awards from Three Treasures Martial Arts including the Excellence Club Award for 2004, Student of the Year for 2005, Instructor of the Year for 2006 and he received an Instructor’s Award from USA Masters Academy for 2006. For 2007 he received the 3TMA Award, the highest honor given by Three Treasures Martial Arts.
