About the Kwok Wu Chuen system

Created by Master Kenny K. Kuek, the Kwok Wu Chuen Martial Arts System is uniquely set apart from any other martial art and all other activities because it is a way of life. No other activity emphasizes the mental discipline and philosophy of life essential in uniting the mind, body and spirit (The 3 Treasures). Thus, it is the responsibility of all Kwok Wu Chuen instructors, as educators, to teach the philosophical aspects of the Kwok Wu Chuen system. Indeed, it is easy to teach the physical skills of the martial arts, but this can never be mastered completely without the exercise of the mental and spiritual power. More specifically, we must impress upon our students the importance of persistence and perseverance, and the value of sticking with a study that enriches their lives.

The Kwok Wu Chuen system will help you improve:

  • physical fitness and general health
  • self-image and self-confidence
  • focus and concentration skills
  • attention span and organizational skills
  • ability to set goals and complete tasks
  • academic performance and productivity
  • the body, mind, spirit

CURRICULUM

The classes are age specific for Little Tigers (ages 4 thru 6), Juniors (ages 7 thru 12), and adult (ages 13 and above). The curriculum has been meticulously designed to lead each student through the journey to Black Belt and beyond. Each student is allowed to develop at their own rate with each age group's and sub-group's special needs in mind. However, it is essential that each student attend a minimum of one A day and one B day each week to receive the proper training. Open days are designed to allow students to get individual attention and as make-up days. Students may attend a maximum of three (3) classes per week.

Kwok Wu Chuen is based on a strong value
system which builds self esteem, pride in accomplishment, delayed gratification
capability, teamwork, respect for all, dedication to our countries laws and the
rights of all human kind. Through a structured, consistent program, each
student is given equal opportunity to develop strategic life skills that assist
in the unification of mind, body and spirit (the Three Treasures) in a positive
and life fulfilling direction. We know that these issues are primary in the
prevention of alcohol and drug abuse as well as many disorders that plague our
youth in today’s world. Concerning the treatment of alcohol and substance
abuse, it is essential to treat the whole person. Kwok Wu Chuen accentuates the
essential aspects of a healthy lifestyle, creates a new social environment and
allows the individual to view the world from a new and enlightened perspective.
The spiritual base of the Kwok Wu Chuen System, as well as the other benefits
